That article does make some good points.

NATO has really squeezed Russia. But, I don't think it's ever really threatened its existence. Russia is still free to be Russia and nobody is threatening to invade. Nobody is threatening to nuke them.

That article sounds a lot like the things that Neville Chamberlain said in 1938 about Germany. He didn't want to "pressure" Germany. They had no ill intentions. Give them some slack and preserve PEACE.

The ONLY countries that have been threatened or invaded by Russia are NON NATO countries.

That should tell you something....

If you really like Russia I think there are flights available that can take you to Moscow overnight.
