Actually, that analysis does not conflict with my post. I said that Saddam attacked Halabja with chemical gas, and Pelletierre agrees:

"This much about the gassing at Halabja we undoubtedly know ... Iraq used chemical weapons."

Pelletierre also backs up the other points I have repeatedly made:

--- Saddam was not targeting the Kurds, he was targeting Iranians
--- This was not attempted genocide, just an attempt to win a military battle

So, we are in agreement.
