You would have to define the time frame of the market crash senerio and the severity. The Dow falling to and maintaining a level around 6000 would, to say the least, not be cool especially if it happened over a very short period.

Yes TSIG would probably respond negatively during a wild negative gyration such as 1000-2000 points down on the dow in a day or week. TSIG has been higher than it is now when the Dow was lower or at the 7500 level. Various issues will react differently based upon their industry, PE, earnings projections, etc. Try to find any issue that would not suffer during that kind of financial crisis.

The challenge would be to find the issues that could buffer the effects and continue to attract attention through the crisis. Continuing to grow earnings and market share would be of primary consideration especially if not working from an overvalued position.

In my estimation TSIG falls into this category.
