I don't believe these claims, in that they appear to count tax credits and deductions for fossil fuels as "subsidies" but don't count various true subsidies for the renewables (like half a billion wasted on Solyndra). Counting in both categories is fast and loose.

More importantly, even if one accepts the 1:6 (or so) ratio that is asserted to be fact, it is absurd given the relative amount of energy each produces. Solar and Wind are insignificant, although growing. There is no reason they should be getting huge subsidies at all.
