Well, I guess I found the answer to my own question:

"The currency weights used to compute the summary measures
are updated and revised annually, but in unusual circumstances
the weights may be revised at other times as well. Adjustments
to the weights will likely result in changes to past values of
the nominal and real indexes. Currency weights and index
values were last revised on January 2, 2007."
