| | Thought I'd come back from the dead for a moment cause I have stuff on my mind that's been bugging me for way too long, and too many old friends here not to share. I'm typing this on a Dell mini 9, running the latest OSX. Yes, I can run Windows on top of that, and do. Not the latest Parallels, doesn't work, but version three does. Anyway. I got this here Dell mini 9 hackintosh on eBay, ready to go, OSX installed and all, for $400. Solid state 32GB drive, 2GB ram, runs everything Mac I have, flawlessly. Light, little, absolutely quiet, three USB ports, one SD card slot (yes, I have a 32GB in there), video out, ethernet, mike in out, best wifi reach I ever had. Four hundred bucks! Almost six hour battery time, when I dim the LCD.
I'm not alone. Everywhere I pull it out people swoon and want one. I'm not interested in discussing it. I'm living it:

Apple is missing the boat here. Seriously.
The reason I'm posting it is this: If anyone here has the ear of Apple, tell them. They're missing the boat here HUGE, even though they invented the netbook market, with the Duo, back when I had one and love it. BRING BACK THE MAC NETBOOK.
Over and out again, done, gone. |
