JIM:

NVDM: Now back to its daily H. Up 18.18%on volume of 56,200 and B/A of 86/20. Not bad considering "the market".<g>

I remain more than 80% in cash. (Money market accounts) and if things don't improve soon may have to start thinking on moving some money into some CDs which supposedly are protected (up to certain amount). <g>

The problem is not how much paper money has "evaporated" from the economy, but how many people will default on their loans and how much the banks will still be willing to loan to corporations that still have a negative cash flow.

The door to raise funds by IPOs, etc. is getting shut, so quite a few corporations that were counting with further financing on their business plans are going to have a hard time. The question is how many will file for chapter 11 and how will that affect the banks.

I remember a few years ago when we had a problem with the Saving & Loans and the banks international loans and you could buy C for about $15, Chase for about $10 and BAC for $4.

By the way, in the last 5 minutes those bank shares are coming off their intra-day Ls.<g>
