You've stated that you don't care about the garbage that Clinton has dumped in the White House, in fact you think it's funny.
I think the whole charade is uproarious. I used to think that that while Clinton and Congress wrestled over this stupid impeachment issue, none of the nation's business would get done. It turns out both sides are in a hurry to get things done so inaction can't be used against them as a political weapon in the upcoming impeachment hearings! NOW THAT IS HILARIOUS! Come on, Big D.! Life's way too short to take things like this too seriously. :-) Relax and enjoy the show. After all, it was produced for you and I as their target audience.
You don't care that he cut and ran when it was time to serve his country, lied about it, demonstrated against his country, ala Hanoi Jane & burnt the flag.
To me, it was admirable that he refused to serve in Nam. As a matter of fact my father was a medic for the Red Cross in the Mekong Delta in 1969. The stories he's told me about his experiences there, and what the American soldiers were sent there to do, has convinced me of the complete wrongness of the U.S. invasion of Southeast Asia. As for flag burning, I don't think anyone has accused him of that. In any case, it's still a constitutionally protected right.
You don't don't believe in the pursuit of honor and principle by everyone, especially those who wish to serve in public office with the responsibility to defend and protect the constitution. You've got a joke about anything that's descent.
As a matter of fact I very much believe in the pursuit of honor and principle, and I practice principles such as humility, honesty, open-mindedness, love and gratitude in my everday life. I even try to be respectful of the people here who attack me. As for politicians, most of I've met were snakes, total phonies, and I've met many working as a reporter. Not all, though. I've said on this board that two whom I really respect for their integrity and intelligence are Barney Frank and William Weld.
Your philosophy fits very well in heathendom.
Lighten up, my friend. We're just chatting here. The four horsemen of the Apocalypse still have not yet arrived. :-) |
