Sorry Suma, that's not going to change. I created this thread
to expose reality defying POV's & to encourage reality based
debate.

That's why this thread isn't wildly popular. It's a lot
harder to defend your POV with real facts from credible
sources. Particularly when it comes to politics - a very
emotional subject.

Opinions are worthless if they aren't reality based. I want
to expand my horizons & make sure that I am well informed,
but only from a reality based perspective. Discussions on
this thread are going to remain reality based.

From the thread header.....

“Most people nurture the facts that confirm their world view
and ignore or marginalize the ones that don't, unable to
achieve enough emotional detachment from their own political
passions to see the world as it really is.” - David Brooks

You can find a plethora of threads on SI that fit perfectly
into what David Brooks said. That kind of thinking is not
welcome here.

If your world view is not reality based, then how in God's
name can it be relevant? And what could I possibly learn from
someone's, biased, emotionally charged, unsubstantiated &
frequently misguided opinions?
