As a former cat owner, I could related to a kitten and its "out-of-the-box" scratching, so to speak.

I once opened a can of tuna for the cat and discovered that she had an aversion to it. She took one sniff and began making pawing motions as if to cover it up. Do you suppose she was a democat? <g>

That's my mental vision of Libs - constantly scratching, but never covering the correct material
