Well, there is a genetic component but is less than people might suspect. Nobody can tolerate trans fat, or too much sugar, salt or refined flour. The lower nutrient value of hybrid crops and their resultant energy density means that too many calories are being intook for the number of vitamins, proteins and necessary aminos. Fibre content of both kinds is also low in our modern diets. Glycemic (sugar path) index is too high. What turns out good for an inuit, kalahari bushmen or cypriot is also good for "us" too. whoever the heck "we" are. blacks need more sun to get vitamin D but they still need it. Inuit and northern native tribesman have an extra enzyme, but we can utilize the same diet with similar results in cholesterol reduction and diabetes therapy.
