I agree with Emile completely. Don't put so much value on Individual Investor's opinion. I, like most of you, are very optimistic about Ampex's future, and really believe Ind. Inv. is going to regret not having put AXC on their list for '97. Also, I don't think not including them on their list is going to impact the price too much. If it was selected for the Magic 25, I am sure it would have caused a gap-up in the price, but not being selected just puts it in the category of thousands of other good companies that were left off the list.
There are some big investors out there that seem to be providing alot of support at $10, but how long will they keep this up? Ampex has stated that due to the new evidence of KM functionality with MR heads, and the increasing interest in KM, they may take a little more time before signing a contract to get the best possible deal. I have mixed feelings about this, because, on the one hand its great news that there is such optimisim. On the other hand, we may see the $8-9 range before we hear of a deal possibly in January. This will be the time I take advantage of the opportunity to scoop up a bunch more AXC!
