You make all good points. But his intercession did in fact end WW I favorably. Yes, like a wimp, he let Germany off the hook and made WW II possible. He won the Nobel Peace prize in 1919, established lower tariffs, and regulated some businesses which were running out of control. Child labor laws are good, wouldn't you agree? I'm not crazy about him, but he's in there anyway.
