I don't see an advantage for Obama to run on Hilary's ticket. His star is rising so fast he can run for the #1 job very soon. His whole political tone is different from Clinton's. He stresses common sense solutions and working together in his speeches. Hilary, on the other hand, is shrill and hateful. My opinion is it would hurt him to be so closely associated with her in a campaign. If she is nominated and makes overtures to him Obama would do better to say something to the effect of, "The people of Illinois elected me to be their Senator and I've got to honor that commitment for the full term."

He should let Hilary have her shot in 2008 with somebody else as her running mate. Then he can pick up the pieces of the Democratic Party after she loses and run for Pres in 2012.

Another possibility is that Obama becomes so popular that he becomes his party's best hope in 2008. That's what I'd like to see. Let him match his ideas against the Republican candidate, be it Giulliani (sp.?), McCain, or someone else.
