I'd bet anything that if the election ballots hadn't had the names Bush and Kerry on them but simply asked instead, "Do you watch Fox TV or read The New York Times?" the Electoral College would have broken the exact same way.

Let's see - Fox News had 3.9 million audience for the GOP Convention. NYTimes readership is 1.12 million during the week; on Sundays, 1.68 million.

Total number of votes cast in the 2004 Presidential election was approximately, what, 115 million? 110 million or so of whom get theirs news somewhere else.

Just one more example of how full of himself Friedman is - and how out of it.
