What broker were you using? Any of the well known ones are going to fail at the moment the market does something important. The only broker I can recommend is Preferred because they don't use a web interface and are fast and route orders directly to the markets, unlike a lot of online brokers that let the market go against you before they act as a principle and "execute" you. Check out preferredtrade.com Cheapest and fastest broker for options. Cheap and fast for stocks. Hope that helps. At least the market looks wobbly.
