You get busted in one of those little towns with a little pot you can damned well go to prison over it. I had a friend many years ago who did 10 years in Angola over a small possession charge. Such a waste. They're idiots. All that being said, they're their laws, anyone in the state ought to know it going in, and if you're going to smoke dope go to Colorado. If you're going to sell it, Louisiana is the last place you want to do that.
