Yen Carry Trade Mention was made on Bubblevision on the effect of the Yen carry trade on the broad market index, showing a chart of FXY vs. SPX. Here's a similar chart: tinyurl.com Pretty strongly inversely correlated, as SOTB has mentioned before. As the Yen continues to strengthen, the SPX should continue to deteriorate until the carry trade balloon is deflated. When will that be, and will the PM equities detach from the broad markets? NC
