We are often called fossil fuel funded climate change deniers. So you can imagine my shock when I came across these past and present takers of fossil fuel money. Imagine if skeptics hauled in such money.

The BP Princeton donation in 2000 went to their Climate Institute. Michael Oppenheimer went to Princeton from Environmental Defense in 2002, he has been a major player in the IPCC from its invention and was involved in its foundation via UNFCCC. He co-founded the Climate Action Network of NGO’s. Stephen Schneider was at Stanford where the Exxon largesse went and was until his untimely death a significant player in promoting scary AGW. He founded the journal Climatic Change, where Oppenheimer is now co-editor with Gary Yohe, another IPCC stalwart. Amongst the deputy editors is Naomi Oreskes and on the editorial board are Peter Gleick, Phil Jones, Tom Karl, Rik Leemans and a full host of IPCC authors. You could describe it as the house magazine.
