Robin, I was going to post a message asking if any Canadians could fill us in on just how widely used these cash cards are but you beat me to it. Your comment stating "According to a recent Canadian documentary, cash cards are a novelty used by a very small minority of individuals." says to me that they are not that widely used. I do look at them as a novelty item as well. Maybe they are more of a collector type thing than anything else just like these pre-paid phone cards with the different scenes on the front of the cards.
