Al, you've made an excellent point. Thanks for the detective work. Investors who are hooked into these analyst interviews and who are in the know about CMVT might have pushed the stock higher. But, it's curious that, at other times, investors in CMVT seem to act very slowly to news. I've detected a lag of up to a day in investor reaction.
I was in CMVT the day the stock crashed a few years ago. (Luckily, I had a relatively small position then.) I agree with you that it would be better if momentum players were not a factor in the recent rise. But, I think that we need to be aware of the possibility. With a P/E ratio of 37 (or so), CMVT is looking somewhat expensive, even given analysts' projected five growth rate of 28% (from the DJ Retrieval Service). As the stock goes higher, it's looking more and more risky. Of course, if CMVT comes out with surprisely high earnings this quarter, the higher price will certainly be justified.
So far today, I haven't seen any news on the stock.
