An unadvertised benefit of Nextrend is the ability to download one-minute charts going back many days. This means that you can go back to a period you don't remember, and practice your daytrading system, or experiment with a new one, as fast as you can push the right arrow. Just as daytrading looking at 390 bars every day is a good accelerated method for learning to trade longer term, running through many days of one-minute bars at a fast clip is a good way to hone your pattern recognition, to practice taking all of your system's signals, and to practice prompt exits. Another potential benefit of this practice is that something may click with you that you hadn't grasped before. For example, in spite of hearing Larry Pesavento speak, and subsequently reading his books, I never really "got" his butterfly pattern. All of sudden, it clicked while doing this acceleration exercise. I suspect that each of us has in his head something that we've read about but which never took, that this practice could bring into belief.
