That article smacks of small-town envy and jealousy to me.

Most likely the writer is a Repubnik and he nurses a personal grudge against John Edwards for some past slight/injury, real or imagined.
To be sure, it would seem that John was always very preocuppied with his work, even when he was jogging in his neighbourhood, eh?

As for JE not having bothered to compensate his neighbours' for the damaged sods caused by the news media vans, he probably thought that they had dealt with the "culprits" themselves. Being the politically savvy guy that he has shown himself to be, I presume he would have offered to pay, if not to hustle for payment on their behalf, had they bothered to ask him. I would guess he didn't wish to be overly condescending/patronising to his neighbours.

As for John giving the "bird" to motorists, I have observed that lots of pedestrians and joggers and cyclists often routinely gave the "bird" to motorists, as if it was their privilege to do so. The writer seems to be making a mountain out of a molehill.

One caveat though: was the writer telling the truth? Or was he paid to write that article?

It should be a no-brainer that as the article was unsigned, the rightful place for it is the trash pile!

Am very surprised why folks post it as if they have made a momentous discovery! What a waste of precious time!
