Why should it be any more difficult to believe there is no such thing as luck as to believe there is such a thing as luck?
I'm trying to think logically, like Spock on Star Trek.
There is no proof that luck exists, after all.
Therefore, if a person chooses to believe in God and that God is omniscient, it only logically follows that since God is omniscient and omnipotent, there is no such thing as luck. The awesome thing is to consider that there is someone as smart as God, who knows all, considers all and says yea or nay to each and every possible outcome.
As for me, I take solace in Jesus' advice: "Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein."
Therefore, I try to take the attitude of a child as to understanding the why and wherefore of everything - it would be easier to sweep all the sand off all the beaches. |
