It could have been a calculated bet on his part, hoping after conversion the price would drop, which it did, enabling him to buy more. Though I don't agree with the ethics of such a case it is reassuring to know that only a portion of his holdings were sold. p.s. sorry for the late response, for some reason the server wouldn't accept my message.
