Today: "White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest confirmed Monday that President Obama is 'very interested' in the idea of raising taxes through unilateral executive action." Remarks such as this have consistently been precursors to illegal activity by the president. The president has shown himself to be absolutely lawless time and again. But this disclosure ought to shake Americans to the core. For a president to even CONTEMPLATE a move like this is nothing short of astounding. Those on the Right have been inexplicably complacent. Those on the Left have been astonishingly supportive, willing to allow the end to justify the means no matter the destruction. If the president decides to attempt this, those on the Left and the Right alike ought to have the good sense to put down their collective feet and stop it from happening. The ability to confiscate your money is about as close as you can get to a dictatorship without being one. That he will target corporate entities should provide no comfort to anyone. You will be next. We are all idiots if we tolerate it.
