I'll jump in here...

As I understand it, to be Win98 compliant, software must be able to UNinstall itself through the Control Panel Add/Remove programs. Unfortunately, as you've discovered, some programs don't include the means to be UNinstalled. In these cases, you're stuck doing the job manually -- and it's a (Royal) pain.

Plug ...

Many packages are available to assist you in these circumstances. I think they need to build a database of your clean system so they can restore to this state after you install something and change your mind.

If someone knows a 'morning after' uninstall, please provide us with the info. I'm sure it would come in handy (indispensable) at times.
