Rashid reports plot to kill COAS and passengers
Gen. Musharraf's plane would have been destroyed: Brig Qureshi, ISPR ISLAMABAD, Oct 14 (20:43 PST): Director General, ISPR, Brig. Rashid Qureshi said here today that an attempt was made to arrest the COAS, failing which 'they' planned to destroy the PIA aircraft carrying General Pervez Musharraf from Colombo to Karachi on Tuesday evening. He said the plane was rapidly running low on fuel and it could only fly for another seven minutes when it finally landed at Karachi Airport. The PIA flight was also carrying Gen. Musharraf's wife besides another 238 passengers, including 20 children. (APP)
