Casualties in Iraq
As of 07 September 2004 the US had officially announced the names of 984 American service members who had died in Iraq since the beginning of the war. At least 16 additional deaths have been reported since the beginning of September, though the names have not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

Still left unresolved is the issue of US deaths for which annnouncements have been made in prior months but who still do not appear to have been identified formally by the US Department of Defense.

For graphs and tables quantifying the mayhem:

Bush is getting tens of thousands of Americans maimed and killed. We're getting slaughtered in Iraq and the situation is hopeless. If Bush had a brain he'd pull out.
