John that statement by Ascend is the "basic rule of business" I want faster speeds...but I don't have any use for hardware upgradable.

ROK chip users right now can only do 56K via a chip swap, so they will talk 56K down, but when they have the ability to upgrade via software...they'll tell you it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
