hey kennyboy, here is news from NYTIMES on this liar demoRAT:
By DEVLIN BARRETT
Connecticut's attorney general and presumed Democratic candidate for Senate planned to stay in the race despite a report that he didn't serve in Vietnam as he had claimed in public appearances.

Richard Blumenthal's campaign manager Mindy Myers said Monday night that her boss had acted honorably despite a report by the New York Times that Mr. Blumenthal was not a Vietnam veteran despite his past statements indicating he had served there in uniform.

"The New York Times story is an outrageous distortion of Dick Blumenthal's record of service," said Ms. Myers, who added the candidate would hold a news conference Tuesday with military veterans. "Dick has a long record of standing up for veterans."

Until the report Mr. Blumenthal had seemed the Democrats' near certain choice to succeed retiring Sen. Chris Dodd. On the Republican side, pro-wrestling executive Linda McMahon is battling ex-congressman Rob Simmons. Mr. Simmons, a decorated veteran, called on Mr. Blumenthal to provide a full explanation of his past and his claims.
