P-Com, Inc. announced receipt of an initial order for Point-to-Multipoint equipment in excess of $900,000 from one of China's major telecommunications companies. The company that ordered the equipment is serving as the systems integrator for Guangdong Broadband Network Corporation, the local operator within the province of Guangdong. By combining the P-Com Point-to-Multipoint system with an ATM switch and related network elements, Guangdong Broadband will initiate broadband access services that previously have been unavailable to customers throughout its operating territory.

P-Com, Inc. announced the receipt of orders in excess of $5 million for its Point-to-Multipoint broadband wireless access system. Airstream Broadband Corporation, a provider of advanced telecommunications services throughout the Philippines, placed orders for FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) equipment operating in the 10 GHz frequency band. The major portion of the orders for the high-capacity FWA systems is scheduled for shipment to Airstream Broadband in the second quarter of 2001.

P-Com, Inc. announced that both its new Spread Spectrum systems, and its family of legacy Spread Spectrum systems, have received type approval under the new European Community Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) Directive. P-Com will be able to continue to sell into the European Economic Area (EEA), which includes Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom (UK). In addition to the EEA, P-Com will be able to continue selling its Spread Spectrum systems into many other countries that follow European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) standards.

P-Com, Inc. announced that Nash-Rocky Mount Schools in Nashville, North Carolina are using P-Com's Point-to-Multipoint Wireless Router, DataMetro II, to extend their current LAN to four schools in the district. Installation and systems integration were performed by P-Com's channel partner Prolink Systems Inc. of Roswell, Georgia.

P-Com, Inc. announced the execution of a strategic alliance agreement with China PTIC Information Industry Corporation, a manufacturer of telecommunications infrastructure products in China. Under terms of the agreement, P-Com selected PTIC as its preferred partner in China, and agreed to provide technical training and support to PTIC and its customers. PTIC is obligated to place minimum orders of $20 million, $40 million, and $60million in the July 2000-June 2001, July 2001-June 2002, and July 2002-June 2003 timeframes, respectively.

CRC is a developer and manufacturer of broadband network access and service level management systems. P-Com, Inc. and EMS Technologies, Inc. announced a second order from P-Com to supply antennas for P-Com's Point-to-Multipoint wireless telecommunications network. P-Com's fixed-wireless networks connect a central hub to several "points" over a shared wireless spectrum. They are ideal for multi-site businesses that lack access to a fiber connection, but still need high-speed data access between locations. The EMS Wireless division of EMS Technologies will manufacture and distribute the antennas.

To date, approximately 50% of the orders have been shipped with the remainder scheduled for shipment in the fourth quarter.
