Hugh, it may be advisable for those who have the stock outside of their RRSP to transfer it in. If one has enough headroom and doesn't expect to use it before they retire, it may be an excellant way to get Revenue Canada to cover about half of your losses.

Everyone should look at their "personal" position, the correct decision can only be made when all the facts are considered.
