VANCOUVER, April 15 /CNW/ - DHK RESOURCES LTD.
Diamond exploration - Lac de Gras area NWT
------------------------------------------

Drilling encounters kimberlite
------------------------------
Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. (KCEI) a subsidiary of Rio Tinto Plc,
reports that diamond drilling on pipe DO-29N has encountered volcaniclastic,
mud rich, indicator bearing kimberlite.
The vertical hole was stopped at 110 meters, having cored 28 meters of
overburden and 82 meters of kimberlite. The drill is currently being moved to
the WI block.
This DO-29N pipe is located in the upper north east portion of the WO
block. The DO-29 target was tested in 1993 and encountered indicator poor
kimberlite in what appears to be a different phase of kimberlite. The hole on
DO-29N is approximately 100 meters north of DO-29 and tested an offset EM
conductor recently located by ground geophysics. The kimberlite core
recovered is being sent to Kennecott's lab at Thunder Bay for diamond
analysis. Results will determine the scope of the next phase of work on
DO-29N.

Helicopter geophysical surveys underway
---------------------------------------
The WI block is complete and the DHK block survey has commenced. Weather
conditions are currently ideal for the program.
On the WI block in the area of DI-02, (in the north west portion) ground
geophysics has also located two separate offset EM anomalies. Previously
drilled targets at this site were of a different signature and core recovered
was described as an indicator poor - hypabyssal kimberlite.
