Gartner also says you can get similar savings through well managed Windows desktops. More interesting are the major corporations that performed the due diligence on a Network Computer infrastructure, some even promoting it with the ABM crowd, only to dump that strategy in favor of a mix of Windows and Windows based terminals. As far as app dev, the largest, most tested, feature rich set of class libraries is MFC. Which begat the largest library of reuseable softwar components based on COM. These seemlessly integrate with the biggest applications base on the planet, Windows. And all of this industry investment and risk mitigation can be utilitized for Internet and Intranet applications with IE4. Java has a long way to go to stand up to those investment criteria. Keith
