Jane Smiley

Classic liberal elitist groupthink : The problem's not me or people like me, it's those unschooled/greedy/evil/neanderthal/uncool fools that's ruining it for all of us metro-people.

At some point it will sink in to the snobs like Jane Smiley that a little introspection between drinks is not too much to ask for.

And... there is the exit polls of Florida and Ohio. In Florida's case, I see that college graduates voted for Bush 54:44, a 10 pt margin.

When you look at the post grad numbers, it's even more startling : Postgrad and PhDs voted for Bush 53:45, a 5 pt margin, while those who did not finish high school went for Kerry with the same 53:45 margin.

I don't know Jane, maybe we're the good guys, and it's you who's been hanging out with the bad crowd --- you know, the ones doing a terrible job posing as professional journalists? Maybe?
