Do I understand correctly that WavePhore is a "news-data filtering and display" software company, and isn't really particpating in "Interactive TV" functionality?
ie: It is using the VBI as a data transmittion method but not involved in associating data with realtime broadcast programming (keyed web pages in the background)?

I don't see WAVO listed among the 'players' very often even though the have a relationship with MS.

I anyone involved in the beta?

I assume that since they will be providing their own software they will not be using a web browser as the viewer.

I'm signed up to receive their software but I'm thinking they will delay it as long as possible until the dust settles on the standards front...there are machines out there with tuners (like mine) waiting...

AJ:: We better be able to at least view PBS while downloading VBI content! I could understand not being able to view another channel though. What are you referring to about "4 channels"?
