CJ,
So show me the numbers or STFU.
We Are Seeing The Effects Of Seattle's $15 An Hour Minimum Wage
The Rumpus Over Seattle's $15 Minimum Wage And Restaurant Closures
If you work a full time job and still qualify for public assistance, that ain't a living wage.
People who make $40K/year qualify for public assistance. Heck, 49% of the American population receives direct federal benefits.

The median income in America is now $50K/year. Obviously some people who earn that much still qualify for public assistance.

That comes out to be $24.04/hour. Maybe we should raise the minimum wage to that amount.

Is THAT your definition of a "living wage"? $50K/year? And that should be paid no matter what you do, whether it be a security guard, or a fast-food restaurant worker, or a movie theater ticket attendant?

That's the problem with your definition of a "living wage." And no matter how much you try and revise it, you'll always find people who "need" more or can qualify for some sort of government assistance.
