>>How much smaller is the number of people who die EVERY YEAR for lack of health insurance? What is acceptable?

Bigger questions are what is society's responsibility to buy health insurance for people who choose not to buy it for themselves -- that is, after all, the vast majority of the uninsured. Always has been.

We are spending billions and most of those people are STILL uninsured and will be. Thus, whatever the number who die as a result actually is, it hasn't changed much and won't.

If you're having to FORCE people to purchase insurance you have to ask the question whether society has any responsibility at all. Particularly given the massive subsidies.

Society may have some responsibility but it is minimal and we are not talking about large numbers. I don't know what the cutoff is but we cannot justify spending billions to save a life or two.

Your comparison with 9/11 is stupid.
