Rather than his presence, it's the money he poured into Florida after the hurricanes that helped him a lot. Every county got millions, even if it suffered no damage. People with damage are getting lots of free stuff financed by the rest of the country -- just like the 9/11 victims. A huge amount of jobs have been created in Florida for reconstruction, financed by billions of tax payer money -- or rather tax payer debt. The estimate of 50K hurricane jobs created is way too low, IMO. It seems every illegal alien in Florida now has a lucrative job as a roofer -- and many of these jobs are not captured by the BLS job surveys.
