John--

No, I don't really think the selloff at the end of the session was necessarily the work of the Bandits. Bigtime short-term traders don't like to hold positions over the weekend. Many people don't like to buy on Friday afternoons unless there seems to be a very good reason to do so. And it was double witching. And of course on any Friday lots of traders finish their business early and leave. But if the Lombard intraday chart doesn't lie, not everyone had lost interest: there seems to have been one big sell in the last half hour which contributed quite a lot to the decline.

I think you're right, and it'll open on a gap Monday--unless the Street People are alarmed about the cautionary remarks MSFT made in connection with its earnings release.
