Ying & Yang....

YOU
>>And light, properly harnessed, can vaporize you. Light is nothing without darkness; love is meaningless without hate.>>

This doesn't mean that we have to "hate to love." You can have knowlege of hate, but chose to love instead.

YOU
>>And look at this slop you wrote:

"Real love is always selfless. Real love never expects anything in return."

Yep, it's slop. Plain and simple slop. A selfless love is a worthless love. Love is an emotion built upon the recognition of value. Of what worth is "love" that embraces an accomplishment and a vomitting bum in the gutter at the same time?>>

Sounds like you are trying to approach love as if you were building a house while ignorning the foundation. All foundations need some rock/solid value that isn't conditionalized or relative to anything else. It's just that: ROCK solid, etc. It's "just there."

But you want the pretty house and you want to pick the colors while controlling everything else.

By "selfless" I'm simply referring to a position which is aimed away from self to others. Love pointed inward is not love - it's ego which wars against the true self. Ego wants to possess, control, conditionalize, label and define the world it interacts with. For the aim is to "get" rather than to "give." And all "getting" better produce "value" or else....etc.

>>Ying and Yang.>>

Both exist. In order for there to be a river you need shoreline - same as light vs. darkness. Most people are stuck on the shoreline and refuse to embrace the power and energy of the river. The shoreline defines the river but the river - the light - has the real power.

Peace.
