The more the complex the world gets, the less the masses understand the world.

Pre-history men and women all contributed to the TDP Tribe Domestic Product

All could hunter and gather.

Although one might be more skilled in hunting than others, but overall they all understood what took to get what they wanted.

Development of mankind created need for specialization and with it, need to pass to young people the know how.

Ceramic was still an art that most of the tribe could make.

Bronze age needed higher technology and bigger investment in find transporting and securing the raw materials

Iron Age much higher investment more energy inputs and so on...

Animals replaced by wind and Steam and so on,

Let's cut for today. The world become hyper complex and only a hand full can grasp what makes the world economy move.

There's a lesson for the Chinese in all that but let me leave that for a future posting.

Today: how can we say people are created equal and have the same rights when we know that the vast mass is clueless?

How can we let this majority on know nothings decide the destiny of nations?

Till 30 years ago, they were not that dangerous as there was a intelligentsia that whole responsibility was to inform the public. They were intellectuals that through the institutions of higher education and the media who we could say: they were not doing their jobs if the masses were not being properly informed.

With easy means to disseminate information, the clueless are informing the clueless. How can someone should above all this noise when the masses are loving what the ones speaking to them?

The clueless knew they were clueless. Today they do not know they are.
