Possible other Telco Investment options :

1.) Purchase other Telco Companies and earn the same <10% Revenue growth rates.
2.) Build an ISP business and offer all your customers free Internet Access for a limited time.
3.) Y2K and BPR opportunities.
4.) Invest in emerging markets and China.
5.) Offer Networking & Computer Outsourcing services.
6.) Build & Improve your wireless infrastructure.
7.) Improve the Backbone Infrastructure bandwidth.
8.) Offer ISDN in all markets first and then ADSL in target / test markets
9.) Invest in Fiber to the Curb, Cable partnerships, Direct TV and other partnerships.
10.) Sue the Government and Sue AT&T.

etc. etc. etc.

When does it take off? When a Telco executive (male or female) comes to the table sweating, bleeding and begging that they need to offer ADSL nationwide and invest the dollars and skills to offer this as a service to the millions of internet users that need bandwidth to the desktop. These Telco executives have probably had some type of budget approved for 1997 and are probably busy negotiating deals and liningup the additional resources to focus on this service offering.
Les.
