A case for MITK: improving topline growth and bottomline operating margins. The CEO on record for this:

John Thornton, Mitek's chairman and president, said, ''These results are in line with the company's plan for growth and increased profitability and we are on track to accomplish our goal of doubling revenues in fiscal 1999.''

That puts the pipeline at 12-13 million in 99. If they can get an after tax margin of 15% (conservatively) we're talking 0.17-0.18 eps or a forward P/E of 9-10. Compare that to the rest of the software industry this is a good valuation.

IBM is a partner:

During the quarter, Mitek announced a significant partnership with International Business Machines (IBM). IBM will license the CheckScript recognition engine from Mitek for use in IBM's ImagePlus Intelligent Forms Processing Solution (IFP) for Windows NT. Mitek anticipates IBM's first order of CheckScript in early 1999.

To top it off the chart is constructive too.

I see it as a intermediate position trade longer term hold, it's a small stock may take a while to get notice.(7.7 million float)

Respectfully submitted to the inclusive inner circle. When did the name change?
