Fear vs. Love....

>>Having read the exchanges between Fredrick and others this evening has been a joy. What he has been saying makes sense to me which is not to suggest his ideas are easy to achieve by a long shot, nor am I trying having given up long ago.

Great Posts Fredrick! A joy to read.

Mike:

I hope you get the sense that I am just like everyone else. I don't claim to know anything more than anyone else in this world.

Better yet, every bit of lasting lifelong ideas, messages and knowlege which I may have gleaned has come from risking/sharing and serving with others.

I know what it feels like to be depressed, fearful and wonder "what's going to happen" etc. This is as human as rolling out of bed feeling exhausted and tired.

It's a very long story, but most if not all my transformative experiences in life came through music. It was through the portal of music that I found the beam and common pathway of risk/light/energy to my soul which I learned to desire to more fully and completely want to share/serve with others.

Outside of two years of piano in grade school, I never sang/played any organized music throughout my years growing up all the way through college, etc.

I separated from my parents and went my own way through college, working/paying for 3/4 of my education at Northwestern. Got into real estate mgt. where I met all these elderly folks throughout Evanston, IL on a first name basis. They reached out to me and I shared time/trust back with them. An elderly jewish couple who I helped over the years actually inspired me to sing/perform, etc. Again, long, long story which deserves a book or a movie for it was so full of color, culture, politics, business, energy, music, song, risk, pain, etc.

I helped arrange for 24 X & or part-time care for these folks in the buildings I was affiliated with. Just by default I was part of an unfolding of care/concern which naturally came from a community of local nurses, residents and others who naturally reached out to lend a hand when things were needed. The times which these answers "just came" were so uncanny and regular that I almost felt like I was just a passenger in this great, colorful musical paddleboat heading toward New Orleans.

Along the way I learned how to sing the blues, Finnish and Yiddish music along with Barbershop - actively in a quartet and chorus.

Much of the work I do as an entrepreneur today is are on these wonderful virtual crossroads where technology, community, neighborhoods, individuals, families, spirit, energy, trust and music all seem to be mixing and matching as this same wonderful story is playing out from years ago.

And this is after I played sports all my life, was a good student, but who was a odds with the way I felt vs. the way others where perceiving/knowing me. Writers block, depression, fear, uncertaintly, loneliness, etc. were all part of the package which I eventually broke through.

Not from anything that "I" personally did or can lay a claim onto possessing or controlling, but from the energies and spirits and blessing which were freely showered back onto me the more I learned how to "let go", open up and love who I was while believing in the manificent power that we all have to create/share trust, energy, light with each other.

When you begin to perceive the world from the powerful, unlimited, timeless perspective of love, risk and service the amount of energy and joy and happiness you feel goes up and up in multiple wonderful, viral, radiating waves of wonder.

Sure, I may appear wacky and irrational, but this is grist for the mill when viewed/perceived from a position of fear, restrictions and limits which our egos are trained to accept.

"Letting Go" and jumping into this "River of Life" is a wonderful, invigorating experience. I have learned that there truly is nothing to fear in this universe. I have a wife and two kids and have been on my own for the past 2 2/1 years. I am living out my dream: helping and serving others.

A group of us will be gathering in St. Louis to continue this quest of merging technology, community, music, song, energy, light and love together. For this is the Spirit of Freedom via the force of light and love which is being reflected all over the world thanks to the internet.

Did you know that jazz, gospel, blues and barbershop all had their roots in the African American community? In the great African heritage there was never any demark/separation between music, family, worship or work. Africa's heritage is full of examples where almost everyone - universally - has beem exposed to the confluence/mix of music/spirit/feeling and love on a 24 X 7 basis.

In this country commercial interests have compartmentalized, almost divorced the idea of holistic, threaded, active, participatory music from the hearts and souls of most individuals.

Forget 99% of what I write about or say.

Follow the music. Discover on your own through acts of risk, sharing and service with others the power which even an inner musical voice can have on changing your life.

It sure changed my life and I can trace and give all credit back to God and his son, Jesus, and the powerful force of light, love and energy which supports everything in existence.

Peace.

...........

Fill in the blank.
