What'd you do to get Scientology, Joan? I went through it with a basic agnostic/ atheist/ humanist line, and also came out 100% UU, along with 91% Humanist, 79% liberal Protestant, 77% atheist/agnostic, but only 44% Scientology. Scientology was wedged between New Age and reform Judaism.
Unitarians may be the world's mellowest people, and apparently the most tolerant belief wise, but as a lapsed Catholic I have this funny feeling about religions where you don't exactly believe in [Gg]od[s].
Back in the early days of usenet, free thinking types who were the subject of frequent lectures from the more pious started signing off as members of HASA, which stood for Heathen Atheistic Scum Alliance, or something like that. For more specificity, they would assign themselves to H/A/S divisions within the broader alliance. Sticks and stones, and all that.
Cheers, Dan. |
