The stories of waste, fraud, and abuse that are going to come out of these bailouts are eventually going to infuriate people. Just wait until you see the pork that will be put in the $1 trillion + stimulus package in January! Unfortunately, the distaste for all of the pork in the first $700 billion bailout of the financial institutions didn't last more than a week. (Remember the wooden arrows, Puerto Rico Rum subsidies, etc). Politicians were just testing the waters on how much they could get away with on that one. Since the minimal outrage disappeared after the first week of that one, they'll be encouraged to be even more brazen this time. They'll be fearless ..... and they'll no doubt get away with it. Hold on to your wallet. Sad. Congress has never been happier now that the checkbook is wide open. Term limits ..... Pat
