Taiwan Semi report, came in at 50% lower than consensus. Reduces capacity utilization at big foundries. Revs/profits up from prior worst qtr in history, but a big disappointment anyway, and, we have TXN/INTC. quote.bloomberg.com Taiwan mkt was apparently already closed with TSM eps came in. Japan down large, worries over banking reform/tech eps, etc. Watch for Merrill to try to spin TSM puke-age, somehow positive, tomorrow, if not, they went short semis and we go DOWN. JMHO. James
