yes, our company was going to pull all its employees and office out of state.. We heard Sunoco was not paying the capital tax and that the state was backing down. Sunoco maintained it was an illegal tax and was going to fight it in the courts or already had in the courts. tax was dropped.

Then the multimillionaire on main line refused to pay a tax on stocks held.. He sued and won in court after four years. In the meantime the tax went on hold. this tax is no longer in effect.

Rendell democrat got elected gov. and he raised income taxes.
He ran on cutting realestate taxes by 40% with slot machines, increased % in earned income tax. also money to help pre schoolers i believe, (to me it appears like a social program to pay for full time preschoolers now). Well, it looks like pre school got money, realestate taxes may go down 8 to 10%. but never see 40%.

Philly still the same sucking hole.. always looking for more state money to keep the place running while the leaders in the city are all under indictment for ripping off the city.
Transportation system running out of money again, yet the workers are the highest paid in the country. Ah, city all democrat. give us more of your money... ggg
